About Us

The Pregnancy and Parenting Resource Centre is a leader in the provision of evidence based education and resources to equip community organisations to establish professional services to families during the perinal period.

Our focus is on preventative care of families through building family positive communities and assessment and early intervention of challenges families may experience.

Over the past decade we have conducted research on a range of issues impacting women during the perinatal period, developed professional development programs for the professional sector and worked with a range of community groups to enhance services to their own communities.

Our framework for service delivery has been informed by this research and by the success of our Centre of Excellence Project, a pregnancy and parenting resource centre established in regional Victoria in 2013.  This centre was established in order to determine the most effective ways to network within local communities and identify and meet the needs of families, within a professional framework.    The outcomes of this project is currently in the evaluative and write up phase.   Through this project we have developed and make available to other organisations, a range of resources to assist in enhancing their own services.
